Feast of the Presentation of the Lord

On this day we rejoice that Jesus, the Light of the World, is presented to God in the Temple of Jerusalem

and is revealed to the prophet Simeon and the prophetess Anna as the ‘Light to All Nations’.

We bless candles that will be used both in church and in our homes throughout the coming year.

If anyone wishes to bring candles they would like to have blessed for use in their home they are welcome to do so.

All candles will be blessed at the beginning of Holy Mass, which starts at 10.00am.
